Meet Hollingsworth

Hollingsworth is a lover of artistic expression, whether its creative writing, reciting poetry, theatre, productions, handcrafting, singing. or paint on a canvas—she has a great appreciation for it.
​
Hollingsworth also has an even deeper appreciation and passion for serving as a vehicle of hope, inspiration, and empowerment, to help men, women and youths, experiencing various degrees of trauma, or who simply feels stuck in life. As one who has experienced abandonment, abuse, poverty, loss, sexual violence, single teen-parenting, failure, dropping out of school, depression, and more, Hollingsworth understands all-too-well, the plight and reality of human suffering, and human dignity. She also understands the power of prayer, hope, and the strong will of the human spirit, when we decide to become unstoppable in the face of adversity, uncertainty, and lack.

Hollingsworth has spent twenty years using her life and passion to empower and support countless men, women and children in Philadelphia. She now uses her personal story, coupled with her professional experience, and her gifts of creative writing and speaking—to empower a much larger audience. She is a member and competition winner of Toastmasters International Speaker's Association.
​
Hollingsworth is the author of the book, "Not Another Tear: Moving from Pain to Purpose" with a new release pending, titled: "Victims of Circumstances: Where Pain and Possibilities Are Colorblind" (Novel), that is scheduled for release later in 2024.
​
Hollingsworth holds degrees in Business and Liberal Arts. She is the CEO of HollingsWord.com, a Recording Spoken Word Artist, published author, and Empowerment Speaker. She has performed on stage at the “World Famous Apollo Theater,” The Pennsylvania Convention Center, and at many other venues, delivering empowering performances and presentations.

With all that is happening in the world, its easy to become discouraged, doubtful, and distracted. My goal is to serve as a springboard to help others be elevated in their life's endeavors, and to feel encouraged, destined, inspired, motivated, and focused! For twenty years I've been fortunate to serve others in the social services industry and I'm looking forward to expanding my reach through my creative writing endeavors, and empowerment presentations.
I've had to overcome a variety of challenges in my life, and one way of expressing my gratitude for having done so, is to serve others through my gifts, in a way that leaves you feeling empowered.
